Tell us about your career:

I came to the Manufacturers Rep Firm position as a retired Police Officer.  I was never a technician or a sales person.  I performed many security surveys for multi-family and commercial entities as well as higher education and k-12.  I'm a solid security professional but from a different perspective than most.  I don't sell anything, rather I consult with partners and we decide collectively on the right course of action for the end user.  

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

You have two ears and two eyes but only one mouth.  Listen and observe twice as much as you talk.  Meaning; learn what the pain points are before offering anything.
