AANC offers members the opportunity to volunteer through various committees!

We rely on our volunteers to help make our Association a success. With 9 different committees, you're sure to find one that suits your interests. Please read the descriptions carefully to decide where your skills can best be utilized and where your interests lie.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee

Develop opportunities to increase the overall diversity of AANC’s membership and provide necessary resources to educate and expand affiliate members knowledge surrounding best practices that drive inclusive and equitable work environments to meet the needs of our diverse community.

Education Committee

The AANC Education Committees serves as a leading education resource for North Carolina's multifamily housing industry, managing statewide education programs and supporting affiliate education offerings.

Government Affairs Committee

Through collaboration, education, and commitment to AANC PAC, the Government Affairs Committee represent the interests of the residential property management industry and communicate those interests to members, the public, and elected officials. Deliberate over legislative issues impacting the rental property management industry, assist the AANC Board with crafting AANC's position, and propose legislative agendas to the Board of Directors.

Housing Affordability Committee

The mission of the Housing Affordability Committee is to advise the AANC Board on proactive and preemptive measures regarding issues relating to rent stabilization, Section 8 housing, rent control, source of income legislation, inclusionary zoning and other pertinent issues concerning housing affordability; as well as defensive measures in response to threatened or pending legislation.

Membership Committee

The mission of the AANC Membership Committee is to increase membership across North Carolina through growth and retention. The Membership Committee will work toward initiatives that support our local affiliates in achieving their individual goals and serving as a liaison for the local affiliate to both state and national associations.

Public Relations/Marketing Committee

Develop and implement strategic, digital-driven marketing initiatives that promote member engagement and affiliate integration with the AANC; improve AANC's brand recognition by providing tangible value; inform and engage the membership around AANC news and events; and act as support for improving the public’s perception of the multifamily industry.

Revenue Committee

The Revenue Committee will identify short term and long-range financial goals for AANC, including both dues and non-dues revenue sources, and set strategies to achieve them. The committee will research and propose passive income generation options, including diverse investment vehicles, for the Association.
