With over four years of experience in multifamily property management, I have built a progressive career at Pegasus, starting as a Leasing Agent and advancing through roles such as Assistant Manager and Resident Services Manager to my current position as Property Manager. I currently oversee a 280-unit community, where I manage daily operations, support neighboring communities, and play an active role in training and mentoring new managers. My time with Pegasus has equipped me with deep industry knowledge, operational expertise, and strong leadership skills. I am passionate about creating thriving residential communities and fostering team development within the property management field.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
My biggest piece of advice for anyone just starting out in the property management industry is to embrace every opportunity for growth and learning. Be open to feedback, and actively seek out guidance from more experienced colleagues. Don’t hesitate to volunteer your time to assist at sister communities—these hands-on experiences offer valuable insight into different management styles and operational challenges that you might not encounter in your current role.
In a fast-paced and ever-evolving field like property management, curiosity and adaptability are key. Take initiative, ask questions, and look beyond your current responsibilities to understand the bigger picture. The more you expose yourself to, the more confident and well-rounded you’ll become.
Most importantly, build strong relationships. Whether it’s your team, residents, or vendors, the connections you cultivate can have a lasting impact on your success and fulfillment in this industry. Growth doesn’t always come from promotions—it often comes from the lessons you learn, the people you meet, and the challenges you overcome along the way.
