My career path has been shaped by curiosity, hard work, and a genuine passion for people and community. I started out in the hospitality industry which taught me patience and how to handle difficult situations. I transitioned to multifamily property management where I gained firsthand insight into the daily challenges and wins of property operations. That foundation led me into outside sales and digital marketing with Apartments.com/CoStar, where I now collaborate with property managers, regional leaders, and asset managers to help communities grow, tell their stories, and perform at a higher level. Every step along the way has reinforced my belief that strong relationships, thoughtful strategy, and a deep understanding of the customer experience are what truly drive success.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

Learn the on-site side first. Spend time understanding leasing, renewals, resident concerns, and day-to-day operations. That perspective will make you a better partner, not just a salesperson.

Lead with relationships, not products. Trust is everything in this industry. Listen more than you talk, follow through consistently, and genuinely care about the people behind the properties.

Use data as a guide, not a crutch. Metrics matter, but context matters more. Learn how to translate numbers into clear, actionable recommendations.

Be adaptable and curious. Markets change, technology evolves, and every community is different. The people who grow fastest are the ones willing to keep learning and adjusting.

Protect your reputation. This is a small industry. How you show up—your integrity, reliability, and professionalism—will follow you throughout your career.
