Housing for North Carolinians Impacted by Hurricane Florence

AANC News,

North Carolinians who have been impacted by Hurricane Florence need your help.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency has teamed up with NC Department of Health and Human Services and nonprofit organizations to support Back@Home North Carolina, which will assist approximately 350 households that require housing relocation support to exit the disaster shelter. Rent will be provided for the displaced households. If you would like more information about the Back@Home initiative, please contact backathome@nchfa.com.

NCHousingSearch.org is being used to locate housing for those displaced by Hurricane Florence, including Back@Home program participants. On this site, you can add and/or update your rental listings for free, so that people who are displaced can contact you about available units. Log in by clicking "Login" at the top right of the website homepage or call the NCHousingSearch.org team toll-free at 1-877-428-8844, Monday-Friday, 9am to 8pm for assistance setting up or resetting a log in, and adding or updating rental properties.

Please be sure to note any accessible features within your units, and consider offering short-term leases, as well as permanent housing options, and indicate your willingness to accept rental subsidies from special sources made available to disaster victims. You can also mark your property as under repair if it was damaged by the hurricane.

Your properties are a crucial link when people are displaced from their homes. Thank you for supporting your neighbors in their time of need.
