We are Multifamily | WAA Cares

Each Year, the Wilmington Apartment Association (WAA) creates a partnership with a local, nonprofit charity with the intention of bringing additional awareness and support to vital services available in the Wilmington and surrounding area. This year, WAA has already raised over $13,000 for their charity partner, the Gilbert Scholarship, helping students from foster care obtain a college degree. In 2025, WAA raised over $15,000 for A Safe Place, an organization that provides a crisis line, long-term housing, education, and resources to support survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation.

WAA is currently accepting submissions from local, nonprofit charities that are interested in partnering with them in 2027. WAA will provide a page on their website and create monthly social media posts focused on the charity partner, as well as a complimentary booth at their annual trade show. WAA also hosts a variety of events throughout the year to support the charity, including:

• Annual Charity Raffle
• Spring Benefit Event 
• Annual Golf Tournament
• 50/50 Raffles at all additional WAA events
