We Are Multifamily | TAA Supports Special Olympics of North Carolina

TAA's DEI, PR & Community Outreach, and XCEL committees collaborated to host a Rise & Grind session dedicated to inclusion. Special Olympics of North Carolina (SONC) athletes led the session, helping participants identify unconscious biases and explore ways to cultivate meaningful inclusivity. The discussion sparked reflection on how we can create more equitable spaces in our daily lives and workplace. 

As part of the 2025 TAA Day of Service, TAA Members, along with their friends and families, came together to volunteer at the Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) Summer Games. Organized by TAA’s PR & Community Outreach Committee, the group had the privilege of supporting athletes at two premier events: Athletics and the Victory Dance celebration.

With five volunteer roles filled with TAA members, their presence was felt throughout the venue. Volunteers warmly welcomed guests, guided athletes to their competitions, and helped present awards.

This marks TAA’s second year participating in the SONC Summer Games, and we are proud to see growing support for such a meaningful organization. We would like to extend our congratulations to all the SONC athletes, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in the years to come.
