What advice do you have for others who are looking to serve in a leadership role?
All good leaders understand the value of giving of their time, when it may be easier to give monetarily. It's about mentoring the next generation of leadership and supporting your industry.
What advice fo you have for others who are looking to serve in a leadership role?
Don't delay, start by serving on committees in your local affiliate association. It's a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and network with industry visionaries.
What is your favorite AANC moment?
Sitting in Bill Brawley's office, he asked what I thought about I-77 toll lanes and other options to improve travel. While not my area of expertise, the realization he actually cared was nice!
What is one goal you hope to accomplish in 2019 with AANC?
As Treasurer, I hope we collect more than we spend! As chair of the Marketing & PR committee, I would like to see continued increase in readership of the quarterly e-Notes and greater utilization of the new website. Personally, I would also like to identify at least 2 new potential candidates for future AANC leadership and establish a mentoring relationship.
