Tell us about your career:

I have been in the multifamily housing industry for almost two years and have had the opportunity to build my career with Pegasus Residential. I began as a Leasing Consultant, advanced to Assistant Property Manager, and now serve as the Property Manager for a BTR lease-up community in Asheville, North Carolina.

Throughout my time with Pegasus, I have gained experience in all areas of property management, including leasing, resident relations, financial management, marketing, team leadership, vendor relations, and new development lease-ups. I have also had the opportunity to assist with operational transitions, support multiple communities, and help improve efficiency and the resident experience. Being able to share knowledge and contribute to the growth of others as well as myself has been incredibly fulfilling.

I am passionate about creating exceptional resident experiences, developing strong teams, and finding innovative ways to improve operations. I enjoy traveling to support other communities, assisting with training initiatives, sharing best practices, and assist teams in meeting their goals. The opportunity to collaborate with different properties and team members has broadened my perspective and strengthened my understanding of the industry.

My time with Pegasus has provided me with invaluable opportunities for growth, leadership, and professional development. I am grateful for the experiences, mentors, and teammates who have helped shape my career, and I look forward to continuing to grow within the multifamily industry while making a positive impact on the communities and people we serve.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

My advice for someone just starting in the multifamily industry is simple: never be afraid to ask questions. No one knows everything, and some of the best learning opportunities come from being willing to seek guidance and learn from those around you.

Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Volunteer to help with special projects, support other communities when opportunities arise, and learn from experienced team members and leaders. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every interaction is a chance to build relationships and expand your knowledge.
