Tell us about your career:

My first "real" job was managing hotel operations for four and five star hotels. My degree is from East Carolina in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I have worked in multifamily for over 11 years, with 10 years of service with Greystar. Currently a Regional Manager for the past 3 years and was a Manager of Operations for 4 years, all out of the Raleigh office. Prior to these roles within Greystar, I began as a leasing professional in 2014 and have been fortunate enough to have strong leaders ahead of me and strong support around me to see continuous growth year over year. Currently oversee eight assets within the region totaling around 2,300 units, six clients, and assets of all different life cycles (lease up, value add, stabilized, pre- development). Id like to think my leadership style is a combination of people skills and career building with a strong background of financial acumen.

Currently I sit on the Executive Board of Directors for the Triangle Apartment Association, while involved in numerous sub-committees. Also I was recently nominated to be part of the AANC Leadership Lyceum in 2024, and was the recipient of a full CAM scholarship (2017) and a partial CAPS scholarship (2019) through the TAA.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

My advice would be to simply listen to the people around you. Listen to how they speak, what they speak about, how they handle situations, how they present information, and so on. I have found that a large portion of my ability to speak on numerous topics with clear delivery is predicated by listening and absorbing others ability to speak and be knowledgeable.

Anything else you would like to share:

I have been married for 12 years, and have two kids Luke (9) and Emma (6). I enjoy exercising, the outdoors, and a good brewery (not in that order :)).
