Tell us about your career:
I started my career in property management as a Leasing Consultant and progressed to Leasing Manager, Assistant Property Manager, and now Property Manager — achieving this growth within three years. I’ve managed communities of 300–390 units & have led teams through staffing transitions. During this time, I’ve been recognized for maintaining renewal rates above 50%, achieving $0 delinquency within four months of becoming an Assistant Property Manager, and consistently hitting or exceeding budgeted controllable operating income (COI). My passion is creating a collaborative team culture while ensuring an exceptional experience for residents and owners alike.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Stay open to learning every role in this industry. It will make you a stronger, more empathetic team member and future leader. Focus on building trust with both your colleagues and residents. Stay patient, ask questions, and don’t shy away from challenges. Property management is about relationships, resilience, and making a difference every day.
Anything else you would like to share:
I’m passionate about rising to challenges and making an immediate impact. Most recently, I stepped into a property during a transition period and helped increase its occupancy from 80% to 84% within four weeks while also maintaining above budgeted occupancy for my own asset. Helping communities and teams reach their potential is why I love working in this industry.
