Tell us about your career:
I entered the apartment industry almost by accident and have never left. I've now been in the industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles. It is most definitely a challenging field that is different almost every single day. It gets in your blood and is hard to shake. What I love most is the ability we have to "put all the puzzle pieces together" and make a difference in our organizations and the lives of our residents.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Know that there will be challenges, but be patient and they will pass. Learn to laugh at yourself and not take yourself too seriously.
Anything else you would like to share:
Sometimes it can be hard to find the right fit for you organization-wise, but once you do you definitely know and are very wise to stay.
