Craig Nardi, AANC board member, was born in Colts Neck, New Jersey, and began his academic journey at Kean University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology. He later relocated to Arizona to pursue a master’s degree, but a part-time role as a leasing agent sparked an unexpected career shift. Within three months, Craig was offered a full-time position as an Assistant Manager with West Pac Properties. Discovering a strong passion for property management, he chose to leave graduate school to focus on a career in multifamily and never looked back!

Craig quickly advanced within West Pac Properties, earning a promotion to Property Manager before taking on the challenge of overseeing a 360-unit lease-up community in Phoenix. From Phoenix, Craig moved to the Washington D.C. area to fill the role of Senior Property Manager with Archstone Smith.

In 2006, Craig transitioned into a Regional Manager role with Palms Associates, prompting his move to North Carolina. Over the next decade, he built extensive experience in regional operations, remaining with Palms Associates until 2018. He then joined S.L. Nusbaum Realty as a Regional Property Manager, followed by a leadership role with Willow Creek. Craig later returned to S.L. Nusbaum, where he continued to strengthen his expertise until 2023.

In 2023, Craig stepped into an Asset Manager role with Blue Heel Development, expanding his strategic and financial oversight capabilities. In November 2025, he seized an entrepreneurial opportunity by acquiring Marquis Asset Management, where he now serves as President. In this role, Craig provides Broker-in-Charge services and consulting to property management firms, drawing on decades of industry experience to deliver operational excellence and strategic growth.

Craig’s dedication to the multifamily industry goes far beyond his professional employment. He served as the Chapter President for the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2020 and has been very involved in his locally with the Triangle Apartment Association (TAA). At TAA, he has served as the Government Affairs Co-Chair and the Chair of the TAA PAC and also served as President from 2022-2023. Beyond the Triangle area of NC, Craig is also involved at the state level, serving on the AANC Board of Directors and as Chair of the Multifamily Housing Coalition of North Carolina.

Outside of the time dedicated to the multifamily industry, Craig enjoys playing golf and attending live music events. He and his wife Cheryl have been married for 25 years and live in Cary, NC with their three children, Ethan, Marissa, and Sofia.

With a career defined by leadership, adaptability, and a deep commitment to the multifamily housing industry, Craig continues to make a meaningful impact both professionally and through his extensive involvement at the local and state level.
