Tell us about your career:
I’ve been with Redi Carpet, powered by HD Supply, for the past 11 years, working as a Field Account Manager. Over that time, I’ve built strong relationships with property managers, maintenance supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders in the multifamily housing industry, helping them navigate flooring solutions that meet their project needs and budgets.
What I really enjoy about the role is the balance of relationship management, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement with the day to day operations. Every day brings a different challenge- whether it's coordinating installations, resolving last minute changes, or simply making sure a client is happy with the final result.
Prior to this role, I came into the industry with a strong customer service mindset, and over time I've developed a deep knowledge of the flooring business, sales strategy, and client retention. I'm proud of the long-term partnerships I've maintained and the trust clients place in me and our team.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
My biggest advice is to focus on building good relationships and being dependable. In this line of work, people really value someone who shows up, communicates well, and follows through. If you say you’re going to do something- do it! That goes a long way in earning trust.
Also, take the time to really learn the products and the process. The more you understand how everything works- from the types of flooring to how installs actually happen- the better you’ll be at helping your clients and solving problems when things come up.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Everyone starts somewhere, and most people are happy to help if they see you’re trying to learn. It takes time to get comfortable, but if you’re reliable and willing to learn, you’ll do great.
