Tell us about your career:
I started in this industry in 2004 as a leasing agent and gradually moved up to the Property Manager level. The best part of working on site was helping people find their perfect home. It was such a great feeling when they shared how much they loved their new home. I also loved working with the team and watching them grow in their career.
In 2014 I began volunteering with the GCAA on the Membership committee, volunteering is a great way to get involved and grow within this industry. In 2015 I was given the opportunity to be in the Leadership Lyceum group through the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association. This experience impacted me in so many ways, increasing my passion and knowledge for this industry.
In January 2016 I transitioned in to a Corporate role with Ginkgo Residential. In this role I get to support the onsite staffs with their day to day operations. I also get to help with all new acquisitions as well as assist the Construction team. I love this industry and look forward to continuing to grow within it.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
This industry is ever changing, be prepared for a lot of it!
