Tell us about your career:
I began my journey in 1996 as a part-time weekend leasing consultant in Florida. After moving back to North Carolina, I transitioned into a full-time leasing position and was promoted to Property Manager in 2002. During my time as a Property Manager, I successfully completed five new lease-ups, which ranged in size from 120 units in Fayetteville, NC, to a 456-unit mid-rise in Dallas, TX. In addition to these new lease-ups, I managed student housing at Baylor University and homeowners' associations for condos.
In 2023, after 21 years of management experience, I completed my education in Accounting and Finance. I then moved into our General Contracting division, where I process invoices, manage purchase orders, and maintain vendor certificates of insurance, among other daily tasks. Most recently, I have taken on Commercial Property Management in addition to my accounting responsibilities.
