Emotional Support Animals

  • Title: An Act To Require Landlords To Make Reasonable Accommodations For Persons With Disabilities To Have Medically Approved Emotional Support Animals In A Dwelling Unit.

  • Summary:  Establish needed protections to curtail abuse while maintaining the ability for a person with a legitimate disability to have an emotional support animal under the Federal Fair Housing Act.

Private Process Servers

    Title: An Act To Provide For An Election By The Plaintiff To Utilize A Private Process Server In Counties With Populations Of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Or Greater.

  • Summary: Providing the option for larger counties to utilize private process servers in conjunction with county Sheriff departments to affix the summons on the door of the tenant, notifying them of the lawsuit and their court date.

Rental Properties, Inc., Regarding Criminal Records Of Tenants, Occupants, And Guests; To Allow For Authorized Individuals To Direct The Removal Or Disposal Of Certain Personal Property Of A Decedent Located In Leased Premises; To Authorize Collection Of Certain Expenses Related To A Summary Ejectment Proceeding And Execution Of A Writ Of Possession; And To Establish Procedures For Post-Judgment Settlement Agreements Between Landlords And Tenants.
