Tell us about your career:

My background has always been in business development and relationship management across various industries, but I found the world of restoration to be rewarding. I joined Spangler Restoration as the Business Development Manager for the multifamily & commercial division, where I focus on building meaningful partnerships with property management & commercial companies across North Carolina. My role allows me to bridge the gap between emergency restoration services and the fast-paced needs of each unique community. I thrive on being a resource, a connector, and a problem-solver for our clients, especially when the unexpected happens.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

Learn the business inside and out, from the fieldwork to the client side. Business Development is more than sales; it’s about relationships, reliability, and responsiveness. If you’re coming from property management, construction or whatever industry, lean into what you already know and stay curious. Ask questions. Always follow through. Showing up consistently with integrity will set you apart.

My best advice for being a top notch BDM is to start by understanding the impact your field has on people, the market, and operations. Most industries that require account management are fast-moving and high-pressure, but incredibly rewarding. Build relationships first, be someone others can count on, and always be willing to learn. If you bring hustle, humility, and follow-through, you’ll go far.
