I have enjoyed over 28 years being a supplier partner in the multifamily industry. I started initially in the furniture rental side, then in 1992 I opened the very first Apartment Blue Book rental magazine market in the Triad area of North Carolina. Apartment Blue Book would later become Apartment Finder where I spent over 26 years. I've been with Liberty Rent for almost two years this coming spring.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field?
Get involved with your local apartment association and if you're a supplier, get active with your local Products and Services Committee today! Give back to the industry, support industry related legislative causes, make yourself a visible leader and an advocate for your industry. Always remember that not only are you representing your company brand, you are building your personal brand. Always practice good business ethics and maintain your moral compass because that will follow you where ever you are.
