Tell us about your career:
With over 10 years in the multifamily industry, my journey began in student housing before transitioning into conventional communities. I’ve worked my way up to Property Manager and even held a Regional Manager role, giving me a broad perspective on operations at every level.
I’m well-versed in a variety of housing types—including low-income, tax credit, and LIHTC communities—which has made me highly adaptable and knowledgeable across different asset classes. I believe it’s important to know how to do every part of the job, from leasing and compliance to maintenance and marketing.
I crave knowledge and thrive on learning new things, constantly applying what I know to create a unique and elevated experience for both residents and teams. My goal has always been to challenge outdated standards and bring fresh energy to multifamily housing.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Don’t lose your sparkle. Be different. Be you. It’s okay not to fit into the traditional mold—this industry needs fresh perspectives and real personalities. The best thing you can bring to the table is your authenticity. People connect with genuine energy, and that will always set you apart more than trying to blend in ever will.
Anything else you would like to share:
I’m passionate about property management and showing that there’s more than one way to be successful in this industry. I believe in leading with personality, purpose, and passion—and I’m not afraid to do things differently if it gets results. I’m always learning, always growing, and always looking for new ways to bring value to my team, my residents, and the industry as a whole.
As Piedmont Triad Apartment Association's 2024 Cynthia Apple Community Manager of the Year and 2024 Social Media Marketing Strategy of the Year recipient, I’m proud of the recognition—but even more proud of the impact I’ve made by staying authentic and redefining what success looks like in multifamily.
