Tell us about your career:
I started in the industry in 2007 as a part-time leasing consultant, while attending East Carolina University. I quickly found myself moving to a full-time position, and then advanced to an Assistant Manager, then Property Manager, while still attending college full-time. Once I graduated from East Carolina University, I continued my property management career in Greenville, NC until 2016. I then relocated back to my hometown, Burlington, NC, where I managed a lease-up community. I then managed an older and larger community in Greensboro, NC prior to moving to a Regional Manager position.
I am now a Regional Manager with Carlisle Residential and I currently oversee sites in Wilmington, Greensboro, and Asheville, NC along with sites in Lynchburg, VA, totaling 1,500 units. My sites range from 20-year-old sites to new construction sites with a wide variety of cliental.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
This industry can be extremely tough some days, but there are days that are rewarding and so much fun! No matter what you are going through, keep a positive attitude and remember that things can always be worse!

While my local apartment association is the PTAA, I also have involvement in the AAWNC. I am honored to have recently been selected as the 2023 Regional Manager of the Year for the Apartment Association of Western North Carolina.
