Tell us about your career:
I moved to South Florida in 2009 and did not want to continue in the restaurant industry. I was determined to find a job that I could build a career in. I came across a leasing consultant position with Riverstone Residential Group and applied. Thankfully I got the job, I was promoted to Assistant Property Manager within eight months and have continued to grow within the industry ever since.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Learn and go for it. There are so many different opportunities within our industry, if what you're doing is not it, ask someone to help you find the right career path.
Anything else you would like to share:
We work in a very demanding and fast-paced industry. Just when you think you've seen it all, something new always pops up. I can't express enough that even with all our challenges it's important to remember the good, and remember the kind. Work as a team and take care of your physical & mental well-being.
