Tell us about your career:
I started in the industry in 2013 as a leasing agent. Within my first year, I was promoted to assistant manager. Since then, I have grown to love the industry even more. The reason I entered this field was because I saw a significant need for leaders who not only care about people but also value their employees. I knew I would make a change one day, and I still believe I will. Since then, I have fought hard and worked diligently to become the manager I am today, demonstrating resilience and determination.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
If you truly care about people, this is the right field for you. Never stop learning and continue to discover ways that not only help you become a great leader but also a mentor. As a manager for many years, I have always wanted to learn more about how I can change for the better. Once you realize that you can make or break someone's path, it becomes important to acknowledge that you don’t know everything. Every interaction you have with tenants, prospects, vendors, or employees makes an impact; you can make a difference, even if it is small. This is why I love this industry, and I will keep finding ways to create a significant impact through leadership, kindness, and care that is so often missing today. It is needed now more than ever.
