Tell us about your career:
I started my career in property management as a Leasing Consultant at Crescent Arbors in Cary, NC. Little did I know that it was going to be the start of a career. I worked as a leasing consultant for almost 2 years when my community sold and the new owners asked me to be their community manager. I honestly wasn't ready to be a community manager and it made for some long, hard days. After being a community manager for 3 years I was offered an Area Manager position and now I can't recall exactly when I transitioned from Area Manager to Regional Manager. I believe it was sometime in 2006? In 2018 I was promoted to Senior Regional Manager and most recently in 2019 to Regional Vice President.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Be curious. Be curious about your residents, prospects, teammates, leaders, competitors, etc. They all have something to share that will help you grow and learn.

Have fun and don't take yourself too seriously (I have to remind myself of this).
