AANC Board Spotlight | Doriane Murray
Doriane Murray was born in France and educated at one of the country’s most prestigious universities, Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she studied Law and graduated in 2011. Eventually, Doriane found herself in New York, NY, where she met her husband in 2011. Deciding they wanted to leave the busy streets of NYC, the newlyweds travelled to Wilmington, NC in 2016. It was love at first sight. Within the next three weeks, they packed up and relocated to Wilmington, settling into the place they’ve called home ever since.
Prior to moving to North Carolina, Doriane had worked in the restaurant industry and was unfamiliar with property management. Once settled in Wilmington, as chance would have it, she secured a Leasing Consultant position. With the guidance of exceptional mentors and role models, along with personal determination, Doriane’s experience in multifamily grew. She soon became an Assistant Property Manager and moved up to Property Manager within a year of her promotion as an assistant. In May of 2025, Doriane accepted a position as a Lease Up Community Manager at Whitebridge Crossing with Tribute Properties.

Doriane quickly became a leader in multifamily. With less than ten years in the industry, she has received numerous accolades from her management companies, including:
- 2018 Assistant Manager of the Year
- 2019 Assistant Manager of the Year
- 2023 Community Director of the Year
- 2023 Resident Event of the Year
- 2023 Highest Rent Growth
- 2024 Highest Rent Growth
Along with these professional recognitions, Doriane also received the Wilmington Apartment Association (WAA) Assistant Property Manager of the Year in 2019. She currently serves as Vice President on the WAA Board of Directors, and as a director-at-large on the AANC Board of Directors. Doriane will be serving as President on the WAA Board in 2026.
Outside of work, Doriane’s time is filled with learning and adventure. She and her husband share their home with their beloved dog, Luna, a “tiny but very strong” Lab, Boxer, and English Mastiff mix. While the rest of her family remains in France, frequent visits help soften the distance. Doriane loves to travel and explore new places and dedicates herself to learning about new cultures and languages as well. She currently speaks five languages and is learning a sixth!
Doriane is not afraid to step into the unknown, whether it’s leaving home to travel across the ocean, learning entirely new languages, or discovering an unknown (to her) industry. She is not only multicultural and multilingual, but due to her curiosity, dedication, and willingness to grow, Doriane has also become an inspiring leader in the multifamily industry.
