AANC 2025 Larry Cranford Scholarship Winner | Amanda Propst
AANC is happy to announce that Amanda Propst is the recipient of the 2025 Larry Cranford Memorial Scholarship.
Amanda began her career in the multifamily industry as a Leasing Consultant with Bell Partners, Inc. There she gained experience in leasing and tenant relations, leading to a position with Greystar as an Assistant Community Manager. Her dedicated support and ability to manage large-scale properties effectively earned her a promotion to a Community Manager position. Over the past three years, Amanda has overseen budgeting, forecasting, and operations for multiple communities in Wilmington, including Element Barclay, Banyan Silo Ridge, and Overlook at River Place. Through strong leadership, Amanda has played a pivotal role in ensuring high occupancy rates, optimizing financial performance, and fostering vibrant, welcoming communities for residents.
Amanda's commitment to excellence has been recognized through awards such as Greystar’s Assistant Community Manager of the Year in 2021 and overseeing Wilmington Magazine’s Best Apartment Community.
As this year's recipient, Amanda is excited about the prospect of enhancing her knowledge and expanding her professional network, enabling her to continue serving multifamily communities with excellence.
The mission of the Larry Cranford Memorial Scholarship is to foster the professional education and career development of selected up-and-coming multifamily industry leaders in North Carolina. It is named after long-time North Carolina apartment leader, Larry Cranford. Larry served as AANC President from 1996-998 and taught apartment management and maintenance throughout North Carolina for 25 years. He was loved by many for his folksy ways, his absolute commitment to industry education, and his people skills.
Recipients of the scholarship receive up to $1000 towards the cost of the NAAEI Designation course.
