Julie Powers

Julie is a Charlotte, North Carolina native who was born and raised in the area and still lives there today. She has been devoted to elevating industry standards through meaningful work in the Hospitality industry with experience at companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Marriott Vacations Worldwide and The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Julie is a dedicated hospitality industry professional with a strong academic and practical foundation in tourism and event management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management with a concentration in Commercial Recreation and Tourism Management from Appalachian State University in May 2021, along with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism from the Walker College of Business. Continuing her education, she received a Master of Science in Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management from the University of Florida in December 2022.
