Derek Tarrant

Derek Tarrant, CAPS, CAM, is currently a Regional Property Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina. Derek has been actively involved in the multifamily industry since 2012 with extensive experience in property operations, lease ups, value-add opportunities, dispositions, acquisitions, and the onboarding of new assets under the Greystar umbrella. He has obtained his Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor certification as well as his Certified Apartment Manager certification. He joined Greystar in 2014 with the merger and was previously with Riverstone Residential Group since 2013. Derek also supports the region with local initiatives and team member development. Derek is a graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a concentration on lodging operations; Graduated cum laude. He actively sits on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Apartment Association as well as The Virginia Tech Property Management Advisory Board.
